Secondo anno di attività per Roccagloriosa Residenza d’Artista,dopo l’esperienza di Paolo Gonzato, Bartolomeo Migliore e Patrizia Giambi, che si sono avvicendati, durante tutta l’estate 2008. Cominciando tra i calcinacci di una ristrutturazione allora non conclusa, i nostri sono comunque riusciti a far nascere un notevole interesse attorno al lavoro dell’artista contemporaneo, in una terra forse un po’ ai confini dell’impero, ma, certo, positivamente segnata da straordinarie vicinanze, quali la Certosa di Padula, con i suoi ben noti legami alla storia, alla cultura ed all’arte contemporanea. La Residenza 2009 ha voluto arricchire l’esperienza che l’Artista normalmente trae dal lavoro sul territorio con gli effetti che derivano dalla forte interazione tra gli Artisti stessi, chiamati ad operare in stretta vicinanza. Gli Artisti invitati hanno condiviso gli spazi dell’abitare e del produrre, hanno miscelato la propria capacità di vedere ed interpretare, hanno scambiato suggestioni e visto con gli occhi di tutti. È proprio questa molteplicità di vedute, questa condivisione dimezzi espressivi, questo prestarsi reciprocamente capacità,conoscenze ed idee, questo spontaneo dono del proprio fare arte, che ha dato forza ed originalità al progetto intero.
Second year of activity for Roccagloriosa Residenza d’Artista, after the experience of Paolo Gonzato, Bartolomeo Migliore and Patrizia Giambi, who turned over during the whole summer 2008. Starting from the debris of a renovation still unfinished at that time, they managed to arouse a notable interest around the work of the contemporary artist, in a place maybe a bit at the borders of the Empire, but positively characterized by extraordinary surroundings, such as the Certosa di Padula and its well-known links with history, culture and contemporary art. The Residence 2009 has aimed at enriching the experience that the Artist normally gains by working in a specific place with the effects deriving from the strong interaction between different Artists, called to operate very close together. The Artists involved have shared the living and working space, have mixed their ability to see and translate, have exchanged fascinations and looked through everybody’s eyes. These multiple views, this sharing of expressive means, this mutual lending of abilities, knowledge and ideas, this spontaneous gift of one’s own artistic talent, have given strength and originality to the whole project.

Pensiero immaginifico che si apre all’habitat e al background culturale, ma anche processo creativo che coniuga le dinamiche dell’artificiale a quelle del mondo della vita. natural_mente si presenta come una residenza in cui gli artisti (invitati a vivere negli spazi cittadini di Roccagloriosa) dilatano il loro sguardo tra gli ambienti del territorio per azionare un discorso teso a ridisegnare un redevelopment di compartecipazione e di compenetrazione dialettico tra bello naturale e bello artificiale (Hegel). natural_mente è, dunque, uno spostamento creativo che dal naturale volge, appunto, verso l’artificiale per sottolineare una Stetigkeit tesa a modificare il materiale dello scenario offerto dal paesaggio (passaggio obbligato) in una elaborazione mentale che ripensa e trasforma i luoghi mediante procedimenti linguistici vari e variegati. Lo spazio del quotidiano, il sottobosco visivo e le trame segrete dell’ambiente rappresentano, così, le linee generali di una manovra artistica in cui l’organizzazione progettuale dell’artista si fa prologo creativo e investigativo per ristabilire e rideterminare un rapporto con le località e con il territorio. Attraverso l’arte, la cui potenza visiva dialoga da sempre a livello transterritoriale, il progetto messo in campo a Roccagloriosa genera un dialogo ad arte con lo spettatore: un discorso etico ed estetico, cioè, in grado di suscitare uno stupore interferenziale – organizzato dall’installazione di opere contemporanee in uno spazio naturale e storico – e di offrire, inoltre, un patrimonio di conoscenze (e di coscienza collettiva) nel territorio del Parco del Cilento. natural_mente pone, ora, una panoramica sugli spazi della realtà in cui la differenza stilistica e dialogica dei vari artisti invitati si fa prefisso e suffisso indispensabile per aprire il territorio del Parco del Cilento a nuovi spazi discorsivi e d’interazione con specificità visive ed azioni sociali volte alla cooperazione ed al legame interpersonale. Dalla comunione creativa di Lucia Lamberti e MaraM nata durante la residenza con un workshop in grado di farsi attrattiva immaginifica per gli abitanti del luogo, per giungere, poi, agli scatti fotografici di Francesco Acone che decantano gli spazi della natura e alla serie fotografica messa in campo da Sabrina Muzi, natural_mente si presenta come un ponte e come un delicato trait d’union tra il passato e il presente. Ma anche come stratagemma per far incontrare due realtà che guardano, l’una verso l’altra, da punti di vista da scoprire e riconsiderare, infine, a partire proprio da un tessuto socio-culturale, quello legato alle giovani generazioni artistiche, in grado di rinvigorire il territorio – prendersi cura del territorio – ed aprire gli orizzonti alle linee generali di una concreta e stabile costruzione del nuovo (F. Menna).
Behind (and inside) the Landscape

This is an imaginative thought that opens itself to the habitat and cultural background, but it’s a creative process too that combines the dynamics of the artificial world with the world of real life. natural_mente introduces itself as a residence where the artists, that are called upon to live in the town spaces of Roccagloriosa, broaden their view to include the territorial environments to give a talk that tends to reshape a redevelopment of dialectic sharing and penetration among natural beauty and artificial beauty(Hegel). natural_mente is a creative movement that turns from the natural into the artificial world underlining a Stetigkeit (steadiness) that tends to transform the material of the natural setting (forced step)in a mental process that rethinks and turns places throughout various and different linguistic developments. The places of everyday life, visual underbrush and the secret plots of the environment are the outlines of an artistic work in which the project plan of the artist becomes a creative and detective prologue for establishing and setting again a relationship with the places and territory. Through the art, whose visual power has always had an over territorial dialogue, the project we have planned in Roccagloriosa is creating a perfect dialogue with the viewer: it’s an ethical and aesthetic speech that can arouse an empathic amazement by means of the installation of contemporary works of art in a natural and historical space. natural_mente is an overview on the real things where the difference of style and dialogue of the guest artists become an essential ultimate aim in order to open the way in the area of Cilento Park for new talks of interaction with definite visual space and social action that draw to a close bond of interpersonal cooperation. natural_mente occurs itself like a bridge or a delicate trait d’union between the past time and the present time. It started with the creative cooperation of Lucia Lamberti and MaraM to become a workshop that is able to develop into a magnificent attraction for local inhabitants, to come to Francesco Acone’s photo shots that praise natural spaces and to conclude there are the photo session by Sabina Muzi. We can account natural_mente as an excuse to let two realities meet togheter beginning from a new generation of young artists that are able to discover and rethink these realities, to invigorate and take care of the territory, that can open up new horizon to the common lines of a concrete and steady reality: to build the new (F. Menna).
